Last updated: 22.09.2024

Overview

The HeatGenius Pro is our flagship heating management system designed for commercial buildings between 5,000 and 50,000 square meters. It offers enterprise-grade control with AI-driven optimization capabilities.

System Components

  • Central Control Unit (CCU-Pro): The main processing hub that coordinates all system functions
  • Zone Controllers (ZC-200): Up to 120 individual zone controllers per CCU
  • Temperature Sensors (TS-100): Wireless sensors with 5-year battery life
  • Smart Thermostats (ST-Pro): User-facing control interfaces with touch display
  • Management Software: Cloud-based dashboard for system administration

Installation Requirements

Before beginning installation, ensure the following conditions are met:

  1. A dedicated 16A circuit for the CCU-Pro
  2. Ethernet connection with internet access
  3. Adequate wall space for mounting components
  4. Access to heating system control circuits

Installation Procedure

Step 1: Central Control Unit

  1. Mount the CCU-Pro in a ventilated electrical cabinet
  2. Connect power supply (230V AC)
  3. Connect network cable to local network
  4. Connect RS-485 bus for zone controllers

Step 2: Zone Controllers

  1. Mount each ZC-200 near the heating control valves
  2. Connect to 24V DC power supply
  3. Connect to RS-485 bus from CCU-Pro
  4. Connect control outputs to heating system valves

Step 3: Sensors and Thermostats

  1. Install TS-100 sensors in representative locations in each zone
  2. Mount ST-Pro thermostats at 1.5m height on interior walls
  3. Avoid placement near heat sources, windows, or air vents
  4. Power up and verify connection to the system

Step 4: System Configuration

  1. Access the CCU-Pro via its IP address
  2. Follow the setup wizard to configure network settings
  3. Register the system on cloud management platform
  4. Map all zones and assign sensors/thermostats
  5. Configure operating schedules and parameters

Commissioning

After installation, a full system test should be performed:

  1. Verify all zones report temperature correctly
  2. Test manual control of each zone
  3. Verify schedule functionality
  4. Test remote access via cloud platform
  5. Configure user access rights and permissions

Maintenance

Regular maintenance should include:

  • Quarterly inspection of all physical connections
  • Annual replacement of CCU-Pro backup battery
  • Battery replacement in sensors (approximately every 5 years)
  • Software updates (automatically applied)
  • Database backup (automatically performed weekly)

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Zone not respondingCommunication issueCheck RS-485 connections, verify power to zone controller
Erratic temperature readingsSensor interferenceRelocate sensor away from heat/cold sources
System offlineNetwork issueCheck ethernet connection, router settings, and firewall rules
Valve not actuatingMechanical issueVerify valve power, check for obstructions, test manual override
